1 hour per week. Students will receive a song each week that they must listen to and practice before the next class.Class Experience
Beginner Level
In this once-a-week singing club, students will learn how to warm up their voice, practice good vocal health techniques, work on matching pitches, sing phrases, manage their breath, and produce a pleasing vocal tone. Each week will feature a different song by Taylor Swift. Join in each week for a variety of lessons including vocal warm ups, vocal technique exercises, music theory lessons, and music history! This 45-minute class will be taught "workshop" style, where students can stay muted for the technique and warm-up portion of the class. Students can stay muted while I teach and sing through the song of the week. I will then unmute students for a chance to sing a "solo" part of the song if they are interested. I will close out each class with an opportunity for students to ask any questions that they may have. Learning to sing has so many benefits. It allows you to connect more with your own body and voice, become aware of any tension you are holding, and express yourself! Learning vocal technique is wonderful for your singing voice and your speaking voice. There is NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY to join in this class, though even experienced singers can find benefit from reviewing the basics and joining in a group class. Students must feel comfortable reading and singing at the same time to participate in this class. I am excited to sing with you! -----------------
