40 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this class, we will practice singing to different musical theatre songs. Each week will focus on a new song. Before class, students will be provided with the song so that they can listen and practice. Students will learn proper vocal techniques, warm-ups, and breathing. We will also learn about the musical theatre history background of each show. At the end of class, all students will come together and have a chance to sing by themselves and/or as a full or small group and practice stage presence and performing in front of an audience. This class is hands-on, and students will actively participate. I believe that all students can be successful, and my teaching style reflects that. I like to bring fun and humor to all my classes. There is no prerequisite, but it is recommended that you have a strong desire to learn and try the best you can. As an ongoing class, you can jump in for any week, or continue to learn and practice new songs each week. This is a great class to discover new songs and work on material that can be used for auditions or performances. Check out the schedule!
