Learning to read notes can be a challenge! Using the text, Sightsinging: The Complete Method for Singers, we will cover Chapters 1-3 of our book. We work on learning to read music, note by note, and interval by interval while singing. Counting is a skill singers need and we will work on that as well. Listening skills are also practiced here. (Ear training) Solfege is introduced and referenced, but this class also uses numbers and note names for sight reading. We come at note reading...
Student will begin learning to read notes. Note reading, even in the best of circumstances, does not come quickly. This is the reason I teach this as a drop in class on a weekly basis. Keep coming back and it will get easier!
