Description
Class Experience
Word Problems can seem convoluted to students, resulting in confusion. Often students do not even know where to begin solving the questions. This ongoing course will teach students some heuristic skills to solve certain Math problems. What is Heuristic? It is a mental shortcut that allows people to make decision swiftly and efficiently. Heuristic is one of the keystones of Singapore Math. It is not only a tool to help learners solve Mathematical word problems, it is also a skill that...
Student will be able to solve questions related to what was taught during the lesson.
Students will be sent homework in the form of worksheets, word problems or small manageable projects to be completed over a reasonable amount of time. These homework will help consolidate what was taught during the lessons.
Formative assessments will be carried out during lessons to find out how well students have learnt.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
