Singapore Math 5: Challenging Word Problems Summer Camp

Class will begin with a warm-up to make sure students understood previous Math concept relevant to today's topic. Then I will teach a new topic using visuals and a whiteboard.

I will then have the students participate through raising hands and talking, chat, and writing on the whiteboard. I like to also add in learning games and fun puzzles.

Some of the topics we will solve challenging problems for: whole numbers, fractions, perimeter, area of triangles, and ratios.

We will also solve challenging problems for decimals, volume, percentage, angles and triangles, quadrilaterals, averages and plots, rates, and data analysis.

My teaching style is fun and I like to help the children enjoy Math and feel free to ask questions. I also want each child to grow from where they are at in Math. I like to give the children a variety to keep them engaged throughout the class.
