Learners will complete the second half of Singapore Math Dimensions 7A in this 9-week semester course. This course will meet twice a week. *Learners must have the required books to take this course. The materials are listed in the "Supply List" section. I have taught and tutored math for about twenty years. I hold a current teaching certificate in K-8 elementary school, with a focus on math. I am halfway to my master's in secondary math. I really enjoy math - it is very relate-able to food and money!
1) Complete any workbook pages/problems assigned. 2) Review work done in the textbook. 3) Practice math facts - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division - as learned in class. 4) Optional homework assignments can be completed as the practice is needed.

Progress will be evaluated with the "Practice" pages. Placement tests could also continue to be taken to ensure learner progress.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
External Resources (optional): All the external resources in this class are optional. This class includes a paid subscription to ixl.com for the duration of this course. This is an optional resource and not required for learners. Learners will be given a username and password upon request. This class also provides matching supplementary lessons from Khan Academy and Splashlearn - both of which you can use without accounts, or create accounts. Both of these resources are optional and not required for this class as well.
