Class Experience
*I am happy to offer my flex math classes at any time. Please send me a message to let me know when you would like to begin the semester. ***Learners who do not wish to interact with other learners may request a private one-on-one flex course.*** Learners will complete the Dimensions 3B book in this 18-week long semester course. I enjoy teaching math. I have taught and tutored math for about twenty years. I have my teaching certificate in K-8 elementary school, with a focus in math. I am half way to my master's in secondary math. I really enjoy math. It is very relate-able to food and money!
Textbook: Any unfinished problems from the lessons should be completed. Practice exercises will also be assigned. Workbook: All exercises assigned should be completed. Supplementary books are optional: Extra Practice, Intensive Practice, etc.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Progress will be evaluated with the learner's work throughout the semester. The teacher may contact the learner's guardians as needed. Guardians are welcome to contact the teacher as needed. Progress will be evaluated with the Test pages if requesting a grade. Assigned Singapore Test pages should be completed without assistance from guardians or other people. Calculators may or may not be used, and this will be stated by your teacher when the assessment is assigned.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
External Resources (optional): All the external resources in this class are optional. This class includes a paid subscription to ixl.com for the duration of this course. This is an optional resource and not required for learners. Learners will be given a username and password upon request. This class also provides matching supplementary lessons from Khan Academy and Splashlearn - both of which you can use without accounts, or create accounts. Both of these resources are optional and not required for this class as well.
