Do you love the musical "The Greatest Showman?" In this class we will sing four songs from the hit movie while we discuss six basics of great singing. We will reinforce these concepts through fun songs and warm-ups. Class 1: Let's sing "The Greatest Show." While we learn this song, we will also learn about good posture and an open mouth space Class 2: Let's sing "A Million Dreams." While singing this song we will learn all about breath! Class 3: Let's sing "This is Me." While singing this song we will learn about diction. Class 4: Let's sing "Come Alive." While learning this song, we will learn about resonance. Class 5: For this class we will practice the six basics of great singing while we review all four songs. Class 6: Let's Party! We will practice each song we have learned and put them all together! No singing experience is required for this class. As part of the fee for this class, students will receive their own personal copy of the sheet music. This copy is for your own personal use. It can not be distributed. It does not grant performance rights for the piece. You will receive an electronic version of the sheet music upon enrollment of the course. Once you receive a copy of the sheet music, the cost of the sheet music cannot be refunded ($4). This course is for educational purposes.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from Southern Utah University
I have been teaching for over 15 years. I graduated from Southern Utah University with my degree in Music Education in 2003. Starting in 2004, I taught private voice and piano lessons to students. In 2014, I began teaching music at a local elementary school.
In my classroom, I have taught singing, rhythm games, recorder, ukulele, music theory and how to write your own song! I love sharing my love of music with my students.
I also enjoy musical theater. I have done several communtiy theater productions. I have been privileged to play the roles of Mrs. Potts in "Beauty and the Beast," Jack's Mother in "Into the Woods," Mabel in "The Pirates of Penzance," and Kim in "Bye, Bye BIrdie."
I love to listen to rock and roll on the radio. My favorite music group is The Beatles!
In 2017, I began tutoring ESL students in the basics of English grammar, reading, and conversation. I love working with young people from all around the world.
