Learners will engage in fun activities that teach them to love learning and set them up for success—with a buddy!
I have lots of experience working with kids, including one year as an English teacher in Taiwan and seven years as a Library Associate in the children's department of a large public library.
Twenty minutes of reading—with their buddy! During class, I will ask the learners to show a book of their choosing. The homework is then to read the books together with their friend or sibling. The goal is to instill a lifelong love of reading in kids, best achieved when they make a daily habit of reading with their favorite people.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
