In this spooky one-time class of 5 kids max, everyone gets a turn. ESL and native English speakers enjoy music, singing, rhymes, and games—all about Halloween! Learners gain fluency and speaking confidence, with the fun of wearing costumes.

Circle Time is a common preschool classroom activity that develops skills and relationships at the same time. Through singing together, stretching, going over the calendar, and sharing books and favorite toys — in English — the teacher and learners get to know and trust each other. This class introduces kids to Halloween vocabulary and concepts, like carving a pumpkin, wearing costumes, and trick-or-treating.
ESL: Ms. Christina began her career as an English and German teacher in Taiwan. EARLY LITERACY: She worked for seven years in the children's department of a large public library with a focus on Early Literacy and multilingual programming. EDUCATION: Ms. Christina has a Bachelor of Arts degree in INTERNATIONAL POLITICS and GERMAN. She has a Master of Arts degree in INTERNATIONAL STUDIES with a language focus on MANDARIN CHINESE.
Learners should bring a shaker (rattle, shaky egg, maraca, or canister with dried rice, beans, or beads inside) and a book they love—any book in any language. They should also wear a costume!
