Description

Class Experience

In this class, we will learn to properly sing these popular Broadway songs from Annie. 
It’s A Hard Knock Life 
Maybe
Tomorrow 
You’re Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile 
Students will enjoy singing parts of each song and learning how to not just sing them, but also how to perform them in character. 
During class time, we will discuss character breakdowns and how to add the proper emotion into each part as it’s sung. Student participation and creativity is a must. 
No experience required....

Each student will come away with a better knowledge and appreciation of these Broadway classics through listening to and performing them with fellow camp mates! 
In each class, we will work on the songs as a group and assign individual parts for each student to sing. 
Taking the time to discuss the characters and their unique perspectives gives the students creative insight and freedom to develop their version of the character.

Sheila Gardner has been performing for over 34 years and teaching since 2006. She has led multiple student based performing groups and worked with industry professionals. These skills are invaluable when teaching the entertainers of tomorrow what it takes to make it to the stage.

Working on the songs assigned and any character assessments that the students want to implement into the performances.

Students will need to have access to the instrumental arrangements of the songs covered in the class. Most of the songs are available on YouTube or through ITunes if not included already in our classroom files.
