I am a Bilingual Credentialed teacher and homeschooling mom of two who loves learning and teaching languages. I am also a Master Signing Time instructor licensed through Signing Time Academy. I have taught ESL, Spanish and ASL for over 20 years now. I am very enthusiastic about everything I do and I believe I pass that passion and interest to my students.
Optional homework will be to print out the corresponding unit flashcards to practice new vocabulary learned.
A one page of black and white flashcards will be provided at the end of each class to practice new vocabulary learned. You can also purchase supporting material at https://go.platformpurple.com/?e=jessicabeaven
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students start each class singing and signing together the song learned in a previous class, demonstrating mastery of the corresponding signs.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Parent are encouraged to print out the class vocabulary flashcards and play different games with your child so they master new vocabulary.
