We will begin the class with a 10-15 minute whiteboard review of simplifying expressions by using the distribute property and combining like terms. (We will specifically focus on what to do with a negative sign in front of parenthesis.) The remainder of the 50 minute course will be used to play BINGO as students solve problems while racing to fill their BINGO cards. This game is played "offline" and bingo cards will be provided to print off or use digitally. Throughout the game, we will stop to go over problems and check our work together. Sample problems: 5-(x+9) 2(6x+7)-(x-1) -3(4x-1)+9x-2x

Game supplies will be provided. Students can either print out their bingo cards at home, or use a digital version.
