In this hands-on experiment class, students will learn about how your brain can trick your eyes into seeing something like a bird in a cage when it really isn’t. Together students will follow along with step by step instructions on how to follow the scientific method in which the will ask questions, test their hypothesis and come to a conclusion to which will help them understand a science concept in a fun and hands on way! Materials needed are usually items you already have at home. For this experiment you will need: ✔️ 1 piece of thick white cardstock ✔️ Scissors ✔️ Pencil ✔️ Coffee Cup (the bigger the better) ✔️ Color Pencils or Marker ✔️ Glue ✔️ Hole Punch ✔️ String (as long as your arm) This is a one-time class taken from my on-going class Simple Science Experiments. And check out my profile for many more fun science experiments!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello learners!!! My name is Miss Jessica and I have been teaching science to all ages for the past 8 years. I am super excited to teach your learners about the world of science using a fun hands-on learning approach. I believe that children learn best when they are fully engaged through kinesthetic learning.
Experience includes:
- Bachelors of Science in Biology from Cal Poly Pomona
- Single Subject Science Teaching Credential
- 8 years teaching experience with High School, Middle School and Elementary
- Environmental Science, Biology, Physical Science and Physics
- Homeschool Mom and Part Time Charter School Teacher
My goal as a teacher is to encourage students to become more interested in science so they will want to learn more about the world around them. Science is in everything we do and many times students aren’t fully aware until a new light is shined upon a particular topic. My favorite part of teaching is, of course the science experiments, as well as the moment when a student learns the science behind something they were already familiar with but from taking my class learned and now appreciate a deeper understanding.
