Description
Class Experience
Learners will learn to add and subtract using simple stories. Learners will see a connection from the numbers in the story to the numerals in the equations used to answer questions raised in the story. Learners will help write equations to solve story problems.
There is no homework to go with this class.
Learners are assessed informally as we talk about how to make and solve an equation from the story we read.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
