Description

Class Experience

In this multi-day class, students will learn how to use simple machines to make work easier. Students will discover the screw, pulley, wedge, inclined plane, and wheel and axle in this course. They will be introduced to each simple machine and learn how we use these principles to construct and manufacture things. Each lesson will introduce a new simple machine and will give the students the opportunity to explain what they know or come up with real life examples they may be able to use each...

In this multi-day class, students will learn how to use simple machines to make work easier.

My background as a Geologist is very broad and encompasses all sciences and math. I have real world field work experience in various areas in which I have used the principles taught in this class for work. I am also a homeschool mom and teach this same course to my own children so you can rest assured that your child will be given the same material in class that I would with my own.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Nearpod

2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

This course is presented in Nearpod. Parents and students are not required to create an account as I will screen share my screen.
