In this exciting and engaging art class, students will get to work on making their favorite hero collection as we go through the elements and principles of art while recreating the most popular Superhero and Villains (male and female) characters from different franchises. Including favorites like Batman, Spiderman and Wonder Woman. Students will also be given instruction in the elements and principles of art. Starting with line, shapes and form, plus working towards texture, perspective and space. We will also be adding some of the principles such as movement, rhythm, and balance to create some amazing animated style superhero pencil illustrations. This on going course will feature a different hero each week, so those who want to learn to draw them all should attend as many sessions as they can. No prior art experience required. All are welcomed! This years list will begin with the addition of anime characters. Starting Week of November 8th Week 33: Doc Octavius Week 34: The Mandalorian Week 35: Warpath Week 36: Spider-Man 2099 Week 37: Cyclops (X-men) Week 38: Storm Week 39: Wintergreen Week 40: Dark Claw Week 41: Dr. Doom
Learning Goals
In this class, students will learn the basics of the visual arts. Including the understanding of the elements and principles that make up the tools and ideas of art. They will also be encourage to create a portfolio of their illustrations as we go through 20 popular Superheroes.
