In this beginner baking class learners will use only 8 ingredients to bake a scrumptious, show stopper cherry strudel. This particular recipe has been a family favorite of ours for over 45 years! Supplies needed 2 sticks softened room temperature butter (real butter make this recipe what it is) 4 large eggs 2 cans cherry pie filling Pure vanilla (not imitation or you might gag) Salt Baking soda All purpose flour Granulated sugar (regular sugar) Confectioners or Powdered sugar (optional) Kitchen Tools Large mixing bowl Small mixing bowl Hand or stand mixer Spatula for stirring Measuring spoons Dry ingredient measuring cups Oven Oven mitts Can opener Wisk 1 butter knife Pan: I’ll be using a 14.75 x 10.5 inch pan. Something close will work fine.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Depending on your learner they may need help operating the oven and the mixer. Also, check see the list of ingredients, in the supply list, to determine if there might be a possible food allergen your learner may need to avoid.
