This class is a lot like a paint and sit with one exception, you are following the directions of the painting using only your ears. Crazy, right? Wrong! In this exciting, challenging, silly class, we will all attempt to paint the same thing but will have no idea what that thing is. For example: We may paint a mountain landscape, cityscape, or a starry night sky...it could even be an abstract painting, you never know. The painting may change within every new section of the class. During our 35-minutes together, I will go over our supply list and any prep we need. Then we will jump right in, head first. Each step of the painting will be spoken by me as each learner does their best to interpret what I have just directed. Don't worry about making it perfect, that's part of the fun! Although, you may accidently end up with the next great masterpiece. By the end of the class, we will all have a finished painting that may or may not look like the one described from. I will show the painting that inspired the directions and our work. We will compare, but not with judgement or frustration. *I do not require that anyone share their work, but encourage it. This is a great class for getting out of our creative comfort zones. It's fun and exploratory in its nature. This practice may also inspire you to work further on your piece after class, further helping you to get out of your comfort zone and create something that you love.

What you will need for each class: -Canvas board/paper or thick watercolor paper -Acrylic paint (red, blue, yellow, purple, orange, green, etc.) -Paintbrushes -Water -Palette -Apron -Rag or paper towel -Masking tape -No expectations!

My name is Tessa DeForge. I live in the beautiful state of Vermont with my husband, 2 silly dogs and 2 precocious cats. I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2011 and hold a bachelor's in Art Education.
