In this one-time class, we will read the silly story " The HICCUPotamus" by Aaron Zenz. HIC! The students will follow along with this fun and interactive story, while the teacher does a directed step by HIC! step drawing of a hippo with students. We will discuss the parts of the book, author and illustrator before reading. While reading we will discuss rhyming words and what makes someone HIC! hiccup. I love to be silly and incorporate singing into class. We will ask questions and review ...
Students will need paper and a drawing medium of their choice such as crayons, markers, colored pencils
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
