Beginner - Advanced Level
In this one time class, students will be learning to draw silly critter camping friends and use watercolor pencils or colored pencils to color it. We will break down the animal into simple shapes and then refine our drawing. Next we'll choose our own colors in pencils, color it in and use a brush to create the watercolor effect! Lessons will be in a "work with me format" with visual and audio step-by-step instructions. I will show my finished work at the start of class as an example along...
Drawing techniques with pencil and watercolor pencils or colored pencils.
Any paint paper (for watercolor pencils) or drawing paper (for colored pencils). Pencil and eraser. Watercolor pencil set or colored pencil set. Fine point black marker. (optional) (for watercolor pencils only below) Small & medium round paint brush. Small cup of water. Paper towel.
