In this one-time class, we will practice beginning reading and writing skills in order to read and write a complete sentence together. Here's the twist: the sentences we create will have a silly mix of subjects, verbs, and adjectives (making our sentence, well, silly)! I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and am certified in EC-6 (Early Childhood through 6th grade) and ESL (English as a Second Language) . I taught kindergarten for four years, and I have experience in and a passion for teaching early elementary skills. During my time as a teacher, I have worked with elementary students of all ages through whole class, small group, and one-on-one settings. Please make sure that your child knows how to mute/unmute during our class, or try to remain close by in case they need help with this. I don't like to mute students since my classes are very interactive! However, sometimes background noise or computer/internet issues can cause interruptions in students hearing me speak. I will mute only when needed to make sure that all students can benefit from the learning in the class and each have a chance to speak and be heard. Thank you for your support in this!
