Hello! Welcome to my Colors edition ASL class. We will be learning how to sign the colors of the rainbow. The signs will be demonstrated to the students, and students are encouraged to sign back to the teacher in order to ensure proper hand-shapes, palm orientations, and movement. My style of teaching is very interactive, positive and hands-on. In class, we will be playing a scavenger hunt game and 'I Spy'. Structure: 1. ASL introductions (5 minutes) 2. Live instruction- Learn Color through interactive Games (15 minutes) 4. Review signs (5 minutes) I am looking forward to learning, laughing, and signing with your children soon! Learning Goals
This course is designed for young children interested in learning sign language. They will be introduced to hand shapes and movements of ASL. This course should inspire children to want to learn more Sign Language. Children are not expected to be able to imitate hand shapes perfectly, but rather to begin practicing the finger isolation required to communicate in Sign.
