Sign Language Club Part 1
In this 4-Week Club, students learn how to sign the ASL alphabet and vocabulary with different themed lessons (colors, family, feelings, and numbers).We will see our spoken words turn into beautiful signs with our hands!

Description
Class Experience
I studied sign language for two years in high school and one year in college. During high school, I had wonderful opportunities to visit schools for the Deaf. I have incorporated sign language in my public school classrooms and have taught sign language in many after-school programs. I love how sign language enhances children's communication, language, and spatial skills.
It is recommended that students practice signing a few minutes every day. After class, students will receive practice papers that will help reinforce what they learned in class. Some weeks, students will receive papers that will need to be printed out before class. Thank you!
- Paper & pencil or white board & marker (May not use these materials at every class but it's good to have them near by.) - If crayons, scissors, glue, or a printer are needed, a message will be sent a few days before class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
