Informal AssessmentClass Experience
This is a 1-session class introducing sign language vocabulary and phrases. Level 2: Review fingerspelling, vocabulary, high frequency words, phrases to assist in communicating Classes will be taught through demonstration, imitation, explanation, games, and activities. My teaching style is interactive. Students are encouraged to share and interact throughout class. It is requested that students leave their camera screens on during the class. Familiarity with the fingerspelling alphabet is helpful. Students will have opportunities to practice the new vocabulary and phrases, as well as sign simple songs. We will be using the American Sign Language format.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basics of American Sign Language (ASL) and will be able to use basic sign phrases and fingerspelling to communicate.
