Students will be introduced to sign language vocabulary and phrases.

Class Experience

This is a 1-session class introducing sign language vocabulary and phrases. 
Level 2: Review fingerspelling, vocabulary, high frequency words, phrases to assist in communicating

Classes will be taught through demonstration, imitation, explanation, games, and activities. My teaching style is interactive. Students are encouraged to share and interact throughout class. Students will learn the basics of American Sign Language (ASL) and will be able to use basic sign phrases and fingerspelling to communicate.

As a special education teacher, I have taught sign language for the past 20 years. In addition, I have taken several college level course in sign language.

Students will be asked to practice the ASL alphabet, fingerspelling, and learned signs.

Informal Assessment

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
