Enroll in our exciting sign language course led by a certified Deaf & hearing teachers. Students will progress from beginner to intermediate levels, developing a strong foundation and becoming proficient in sign language.

Class experience

Intermediate Level
This class is taught in American Sign Language.

Introducing ASL Kids Club's accomplished team of ASL instructors:

- **Ms. Trina:** With a career spanning over two decades, Ms. Trina boasts extensive experience as an Educational Interpreter and Tutor, having closely worked with deaf and hard-of-hearing students across various school districts. Her enthusiasm for sign language is evident, fueled by her own Deaf family members.

- **Ms. Lisa Marie:** Ms. Lisa Marie brings a unique linguistic perspective, being proficient in English, Spanish, American Sign Language, and Nicaraguan Sign Language. Her teaching journey of more than 10 years has encompassed roles in teaching, assisting, and mentoring students and interpreters.

- **Ms. Denise:** A born-deaf educator, Ms. Denise's mastery extends beyond communication forms like speech, lipreading, and sign language. Her patience and kindness have guided numerous students, while her role as a tutor and assistant teacher at the School for the Deaf has left a positive impact.

- **Mr. Curt:** With extensive experience as a Deaf tutor, Mr. Curt has worked with both Deaf and hearing students within a school district for over five years. His commitment to an inclusive and supportive learning environment stems from his deep understanding of Deaf culture and communication, coupled with a Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies.

Collectively, this team is dedicated to delivering an enriching ASL learning experience that accommodates diverse backgrounds and cultivates growth.
Homework Offered
We encourage students to regularly check the classroom for assigned homework. This homework is designed to strengthen what they're learning in class. Additionally, they will find links to digital programs that can help them study the words they've learned during the course.
Assessments Offered
At the conclusion of each unit, we provide a brief assessment to monitor the progress of every student.
Grades Offered
Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. We utilize a variety of communication methods to ensure that every child's needs are met, including captions, chat, visual aids, and sign language.
✅ Completion of an ASL 1 course.
✅ Mastery of the ASL alphabet and fingerspelling.
✅ Ability to sign your name and introduce yourself in ASL.

We will be utilizing external websites like Google and YouTube to enhance the learning experience. These platforms will be employed for interactive games and to manage slide show presentations, flashcards, videos, and quiz games. Here is a list of the websites we will be using:

It's important to note that Our team will be sharing their screen on Zoom, so participants do not need an account to take part in the activities.
We will share links that are helpful to the student's progress but are not required.
