Simple sights words will be taught and students will have a printout to trace the words after class to continue to commit the words to memory. It is recommended that students have already started learning some words so they understand the concept of sounding out words. We will learn the new words and then read sentences using the new words in a high frequency manner. Some of the words we will cover are: I, can, see, you, the, cat, sat, on, mat, at, all, it, and, hog, log, bat, hog, frog, dog, who, is, like, do, with. We will expand on those as time allows.

I have home schooled my 2 children for the last 8 years. I have taught everything from Kindergarten up to 12th grade. I also have a TESOL certification to teach English as a second language.
I believe that kids learn best when the material is provided in a fun yet informative way. When kids are bored, they will not retain the information. When they have fun learning, they commit the information to memory much easier and are eager to learn more.
