In this ongoing course your child will be taught basic sight words to begin reading. These basic sight words are found in many beginning readers. The understanding of reading and spelling these words will boost confidence in your child's reading and writing journey in the primary grades. Students will learn to read and write basic sight words to begin reading simple stories.
Students are encouraged to practice the sight words introduced each week to help build fluency and beginning reading simple books. Making flashcards for the words taught is also encouraged.

I will let parents know how their student is progressing through the student portal. I will give recommendations for further reading success.
