In this one-time course, the teacher will help the students read ten different sight words, and we will use them in sentences.
Class experience
In this class, we will read short sentences based on sight words that are easy to read and memorize. We will use these words to create funny sentences that will help us remember the words. We will practice the foundations of reading by learning the sounds each consonant and vowel make together. Students will improve recognition and memorization of sight words. Students will socialize with others in a fun, interactive setting. Students will practice making new sounds by combining different letter sounds.
I was an elementary school librarian for 5 years. In that time, I worked with students on their reading, organization, and grammar skills.I have been with VIPKid, an online ESL teaching program, for 3 years. I have been with Magic Ears, another ESL teaching program, for 6 months. In this time, I have learned to elicit total physical response while engaging young learners, teaching curriculum based on learning English as a second language. I have worked in both one-on-one and four-on-one virtual settings. I am comfortable with all ages and larger groups of children.
