Let's have some Halloween fun and practice our sight words along the way! During this ongoing class learners will practice spelling, reading, and writing Kindergarten level sight words using chants, cheers and movement. Class structure: This class is structured using the I do, We do, You do method. During each 30 minute class meeting we will practice five sight words. I have an Associates of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Social Studies Education. I am certified to teach Social Studies in grades 6-12. Additionally, I have my TESOL certification. I have been a 12th grade teacher, a 10th grade teacher, and most recently a Lead Teacher in a pre-school where I exclusively worked with 3, 4, and 5 year olds. I taught at the pre-school for three years with a focus on fostering the development of early literacy and math skills. I've been a teacher on Outschool since the Summer of 2020. During that time I've continuously taught my Sight Word Swing Level 1 and 2 classes, my Writer's Workshop class, and done private tutoring.
Students will need a whiteboard and a dry erase marker or a pen/pencil and paper to practice writing sight words during class.
