During this class, students will study a small group of sight words. Sight words are sometimes referred to as red words, high frequency words, or popcorn words. These words do not follow typical English spelling patterns, and learners must memorize these words. This class will help students with reading, writing, and spelling these words. Students will also develop sentences for these words. This skill will improve both language and writing skills for students. During the class, students will use multi-sensory techniques to practice spelling words. Students will create sentences for each word. They will be encouraged to write their sentences and share them with their classmates. This class is fine for students still developing writing skills. This class is recommended for students who have early literacy skills. This class is ideal for 1st graders students, but early readers & writers are welcome. This class is aligned with Fundations.
