Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Beginner Level
Each week students will be introduced to a new sight word. Through engaging videos and activities students will master their sight words. Students will see the sight word, say it, hear it, move with it, then read a sentence with it. I believe in using these different methods since we all learn in different ways.

Students will be given both digital and printable assignments to reinforce what is learned in the video. The digital allows for those busy parents, or those without a printer to learn everywhere and anywhere at any time. The printable PDFs are great for those who want to work on their writing as well as practice what was learned that week. There will also be songs for each sight word for students to enjoy.

I will also be posting some fun activities so that we can assess how well the student is learning their sight words. If you have any questions, comments or concerns do not hesitate to ask. If there are sight words not listed that you would like to work on please let me know! I hope to teach you soon. -Mrs. Taylor

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am Mrs. Taylor and I'm thrilled to have you here! I have had a passion for teaching since I was six and it has only grown from there. I originally went to college to pursue teaching in a traditional classroom setting, but after having a family I made the switch to online. I have enjoyed being an online educator for the last 7 years. It has allowed me the flexibility to do what I love (teach!), while being there for my children.

I am passionate about many subjects, but I have always loved early childhood education. I believe in school readiness and that if a child feels prepared, then they will feel confident and love to learn. I have seen first hand with my students, my children and through volunteer work how important it is to know the fundamentals when starting school.

Teaching is all I have ever wanted to do, and I have so much appreciation to have found another platform to pursue my passion. I hope to see you in my classroom! -Mrs. Taylor
