In this high-energy, interactive class, we will use carnival inspired games to learn a foundation of sight words. Sight words help our learners form a base knowledge of commonly seen words that we want them to recall on sight. The course will build a core knowledge of these words and help your learner build their reading repertoire. This will strengthen your learners phonics foundation and push them to be a confident and strong reader. Whether your learner is a beginner to reading or just needs a refresher, this course is sure to be a blast for all! Our list of sight words we may cover are: I AM THE ON GO AT HAVE BECAUSE WE YOU ALL THAT SEE AND IT LIKE Colors( Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Black, White) This is a one-time class so your child may take this course as many times as they want to build repetition or take it once as a intro or refresher. We may not cover every single sight word in class but will be using many of them each time.

Hi everyone! My name is Ms. Emily and I am an Early Childhood Educator who loves animals, crafts, nature and all things social-emotional!
My philosophy in teaching is a warm approach, I like my classes to be low-pressure and extra silly! I believe that students have a variety of needs that are unique to their learning style, background and interests. I love the concept of outschooling as it allows for flexibility in learning environments as well as content delivery. I think learning is best achieved when having fun so my teaching is driven mainly through games, discussions, dance parties, role-playing, crafts, student interests and much more.
My favorite classes to teach involve anything to do with social-emotional skills, the arts, movement and elementary core curriculum. I am always open to new classes that my students show interest or need for so don't be afraid to ask for something new!Reviews
