Sight Word Summer Olympics is kicking off soon! It is summer time! Let's mix summer fun with sight words! Do you want to be a SIGHT WORD ATHLETE this summer? Do you want to review sight words from last school year or learn new sight words for the upcoming school year? The structure of this class will be interactive for the learners. Students will have a class that is focused on reading sight words while competing with other students in games. All of the words in the competitions will be from the First Grade Level Dolch Word List. So, if your learner could benefit from learning to read these words or review these words during the summer, this class will be for them! Students are welcome to wear their sports attire; summer hats, summer sunglasses, anything summer or sports related is perfectly fine. The words used in each class competition will be randomly chosen. Therefore, this is the perfect last-minute class for enrollment, too! Join the competitions with us and be a Summer Olympics Sight Word Athlete, too! (I am also offering this class for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Second Grade and Third Grade Level Dolch Sight Words, too! Be looking for this class if you have a learner that needs to advance to another level.) This one-time class will be offered multiple times. Each class will be unique with different words and different competitions! No class will be the same!
Learning Goals
Learners will learn to read single sight words. Learners will learn to read sight words in sentences. Learners will have fun while learning in reading competitions.

Hello! I am very happy to be a part of the Outschool Community! I am an elementary and middle school inclusion teacher, an online English tutor and a homeschool mom. I have provided speech therapy services for over 20 years and I have always enjoyed teaching students from ages 3 and up. I concentrate on providing classes that are foundational skills for children to develop good communication and reading skills. I believe that all children can learn! Since all children learn in their own special way, I like to incorporate learners' interest, visual aids and more to the classroom setting. This ensures that all learners can enjoy learning while having a great time! I will be teaching pre-reading, phonics, phonetic foundational skills, language skills, English as a Second Language and many other topics in classes for students of all ages..
