The student will come away with greater familiarity with each of the different parts of the SHSAT. This will help to alleviate the anxiety that typically accompanies a test experience of this sort.  We will log plenty of time with practice questions that closely resemble those questions our student will encounter on the real test.  The goal here is to instill familiarity and gather confidence in the face of this challenge.  

This is an enjoyable, down-to-earth class, appropriate for anyone who is serious about taking the SHSAT as part of their high school entrance process.  I have a wealth of experience with this test in particular and I know where to best focus our attention.

Homework Offered
Because this is a one-on-one, tailor-made experience, I will be assigning test-appropriate homework that will reinforce the material we covered during the session.  I have a wealth of material in my files that I can assign for homework, and I have a sharp instinct for what to "prescribe" at the end of the class.  I am good at assigning the right amount of the right kind of homework.

Upon request, a brief email reporting on student engagement will be sent after the class.
Grades Offered

I have plenty of material of a wide variety to carry the class.  Our student really only needs to bring themselves to the meeting.  That said, any materials that our student would like to bring to class and consult with is welcome.  I like test prep manuals of every stripe.  I collect them, and I am always interested in finding out about new ones.
