Show & Tell with Ms. Fleury!
In this 45 minute, one-time class, students will be able to show and tell with the object of their choice! Based on enrollment, I aim to give each students about 10 mins or more to share an object or story to the class.

I noticed that during one of my read aloud lessons, all of my students wanted to share dolls, stuffed animals, and even stories that related to the story we read. This made me think that teaching a show and tell class would be a great idea, and the students agreed! For the first week I try out this course, I plan to let students choose whatever they would like to share with the class but will prompt them to have it ready and to think about it prior to the beginning of class. I will also...
Students will improve their public speaking and communication skills by presenting their show and tell to our class! They will be able to practice preparation skills and social interaction with other students. Question and answer, as well as commenting, will keep all students engaged and help with practicing analytical skills throughout the course.
I have done this as a reward system with students in 1st grade and they loved it! Full class engagement was successful and the presenter had such a fun time.
There will be no homework! I will ask students to be prepared and ready with their show and tell; what they want to share, and how they want to share information with everyone.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learner progress is assessed through an informal assessment of presentation skills and participation in the question/answer and comment section.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
