Welcome to Show, Share, and Play! In this club, young students will learn social skills in a small group environment with the gentle direction of the teacher. The teacher may give guidance in the form of sentence starters or sentence frames. For example, students may be encouraged to use phrases like, "Are there any questions?" "Thank you for your suggestion." "Can you tell me more about...?" These types of guided socialization help students use words to communicate their feelings and...
Students will learn oral presentation skills. Students will learn tools to communicate when they agree or disagree with someone else. Students will learn to take turns and participate appropriately in a discussion or group game.
Each week, the students will have the opportunity show something: a toy, a pet, a piece of artwork, etc. Parents may need to help the child select an item each week.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents may need to stay nearby their student for show and tell time, to help manage any toys or pets that may be introduced.
