Master the traditional art of writing checks and filling out deposit slips accurately and securely.

Balancing a Bank Account
Discover the importance of monitoring and reconciling your bank account to keep your finances in check.

  • Students will improve their understanding of personal finance and how it directly relates to them now or in the future and apply that knowledge.
I have been teaching personal finance classes for teens for 20 years!

Homework
Frequency: 1-2 per week
Feedback: as needed
Details: For each lesson, learners will be assigned an enrichment task to do based on that lesson's topic.
Letter Grade
Frequency: included
Details: No formal assessment will be given, but if it is desired at the request of a parent, I can provide a formal grade report. Just let me know if that is something you'd like! If your learner needs a formal grade, they must do all of the enrichment activities!
A notebook, writing utensil, and calculator are required for this class.  Any handout, notes, or worksheet will be provided for the students before each class in the classroom.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I use the High School Financial Planning Program as supplemental materials for this course and have approval to use it.
