Beginner Level
In this class, students will identify coins by name, by picture, and value. The students will be taught who is on the front and back of the coin, the color of the coin, and the value of each coin. The currency that will be covered is the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half dollar. As part of the class, students can use money manipulatives for the activities. The one-dollar bill will also be covered as part of the lesson. This class is hands-on, interactive, visual, and auditory. The teacher and students will interact through discussion, questions, and problem solving.
