Class Experience
Wait-Money doesn't grow on trees?! Throughout this interactive camp, students will be using basic math skills and real-life scenarios to help them better understand how money works, how to save, how to shop, and how to assess needs versus wants. Each day students will also be presented with task cards that will not only help them improve their math skills, but also their literacy skills. Day 1- Needs vs. Wants/What Would You Do? I have been teaching financial literacy in schools for the past decade, as well as personal finance classes.
No homework, but students may use these activities at home with their family!
Pencil, paper, calculator will be needed for this class, and I will provide all of the necessary handouts.
No formal assessment will be done, but students who finish the camp will receive a certificate.
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Permission has been obtained for all online sources and pictures used for this class.
