What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this social class, we will be sharing our favorite toys with the group. The beginning of the class will consist of a short talk about the expectations and rules which will include not speaking over others, being kind and respectful, and asking quality questions. Everyone will get a chance to introduce themselves and tell something fun about themselves such as what their favorite animal is. We will then use a random way ( such as picking names out of a hat) to choose who will go first and share their toy with the group. Learners will be encouraged to ask and answer a question about the toy. Examples will be given on-screen using a PowerPoint presentation. The goal is to get learners to talk with one another and share their interests with a group. The lesson will end with a Kahoot quiz about toys before we say goodbye to one another.
Learning Goals
Learners will practice communicating in a virtual group setting and have fun articulating their interests.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! My name is Auja Norman and I have been in education as an elementary school teacher for the last 10 years. I really enjoy supporting my students with early reading and writing skills while broadening their knowledge about biological and environmental sciences. I love animals and have a house full of dogs, cats, turtles, snakes, and several fish tanks that host crabs, fish, and more! I believe that creating excitement about learning is so important and makes life long learners who will make a difference in the world. I can't wait to meet your student and bring the magic of reading into their lives.
