In this ongoing class I would love to get to know your child through things that interest him/her. Each week there will be a theme for the week and your child is encouraged to bring something connected to that theme to share with the class. It can be a toy or other 3-dementional item or it can be a drawing, painting, picture, or other 2-dementional item. If your child would like to participate but doesn't have anything to bring it is ok to come and just talk about the theme on his/her turn.
After each student has his/her turn speaking the other students will be encouraged to ask questions of the speaker. I will also ask questions of the listeners to encourage close attention and active listening while others are speaking.
In each class, we will begin by briefly outlining what is expected of the speaker and what is expected of the listeners. We will have lots of fun showing and telling with each other!
