Description
Class Experience
***Please note Frankie the dog will not be appearing in this class from 10th March until 14th April as I will be overseas, but I would still love to see your pets*** Firstly, students will get the opportunity to meet my dog, Frankie, I will start off the class by modelling a show and tell with Frankie (no promises he will be awake!) Students will practice public speaking by sharing their pets with the other learners. They will be encouraged to talk about what type of animal the pet is, why...
Students will learn to speak in a loud clear voice. They will discuss a pet and answer questions about this. Children will gain confidence in public speaking.
A pet that children can bring to the camera and talk about.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please make sure your child can discuss their pet they have brought rather than just holding it to the camera and having me ask all the questions. The first question I will ask your child is 'tell me about what you brought for show and tell.' Your child should be able to confidently share a few facts about their pet. For example, this is my dog called Sam, he is brown, he is special to me because I got him for my birthday, he is soft and cuddly. I will then follow up with questions to expand on their answers before asking other students to ask questions/make comments.
