US Grade 2 - 5
Students will learn about pets from each other with teacher facilitation and modeling. Students will practice turn taking, presenting, asking / answering questions, and having discussions about pets. This is a structured class but informal in nature. We will be learning about different pets in a fun way. I am hoping for good, respectful, student interaction. We will start with introductions to warm up and break the ice. Students will then each take a turn to share their pet and answer teacher and student questions. Sharing time will largely be determined by the number of enrolled students (3 to 6) but will be distributed equally for the most part. Encouraged topics of discussion will include the following plus any unique student questions. Pet Name Pet Type (What animal?) Pet Care (Food, Exercise, Grooming...) Fun Facts about your pet (tricks, diet...???) Favorite thing about your pet? Least favorite thing about your pet? Woud you recommend getting a pet like yours? Why or Why not? No prior knowledge needed. I ask that PETS (remain OFF camera until it is the student's turn - so they don't steal the show from others. ;-)
Learning Goals
Students will learn (and teach us) about different types of pets in a fun interacitve way through show and tell.
