Welcome to our engaging English Show and Tell class, where students get the opportunity to showcase their favorite toys, books, rewards, creations, and more! 🌟 Through this interactive class, the goal is to boost students' confidence and help them express themselves in English by talking about things that are important to them and make friends in a social setting. ABOUT THIS CLASS In this class, each student can bring an object of their choice, such as a treasured toy, a book they enjoyed reading, a special reward received at school, something they created, or even a beloved pet. They will have the chance to describe their chosen object and share why it holds a special place in their heart. 🧡 Following their presentation, classmates will have the opportunity to ask questions about the object, such as how it works or how it was made, further encouraging interaction and social conversation among students. I will guide students throughout the process, asking thought-provoking questions and offering gentle corrections to help expand their responses and improve their language skills. Additionally, students will be encouraged to ask questions to their peers, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment. 🤝 We will also play different games and talk about different topics that are related to the interests of the students of each particular group. This is a great chance for students to make friends from all around the world while practicing their English in a relaxed but very engaging small group social setting. WHO CAN JOIN No prior experience or knowledge is required to join this class. As long as students are able to communicate in simple English sentences, they are welcome to participate. CLASS SCHEDULE There are no weekly topics. This class is learner-led as students are welcome to bring things that are special to them and share them with the teacher and friends. 🌈

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Universidad de La Rioja
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to get to know me! My name is Aroa and I am passionate about learning. There's few things in life that get me as excited as learning more about a topic I find interesting, and sharing what I learned with others.
I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education majoring in Elementary School Education and in English as a Foreign Language. I am a licensed K-12 teacher.
I have been teaching for more than 15 years now. I was an Elementary School teacher in North Carolina for 5 years. Then I started teaching online, which I have been doing for over 10 years now.
Teaching students with limited English proficiency has taught me how to explain things in a way that is simple and easy to understand. I believe that every student can benefit from that kind of instruction. I also believe that the student should be the center of the learning process. I like helping my students take control of the learning process, setting small, clear goals in front of them, helping them achieve them and then celebrating their success with them.
In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and my dog Pancake. I love learning new things, especially related to technology and languages. I am also a very creative person that loves writing and graphic design.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me better! I hope to see you soon in my classroom!
