Middle school students will explore literature through reading and writing short stories.
Class experience
Learn writing skills from a published author! I will be teaching students how to write their own short story in this class. The five basic components for a short story we will discuss are: the characters/point of view, the setting, the plot, the conflict, and the theme. The students will set writing goals to try to complete the story by the end of the class. I will review each story and offer personal feedback.
