Short E Word Families Camp

This 3 day class is a great introductory course for beginning readers! We will focus on phonics practice through vowel sounds and CVC words. We will practice reading short e words with the “-et”, “-ed”, “-eg”, and “-en” word families.

Description

Class Experience

Students will learn CVC words with the short e sounds. They will write and read these words in sentences.
I have tutored and taught reading for over 6 years. I have a Reading Endorsement that is K-12th grade.
Practice reading short e words.
 1 file available upon enrollment
Daily materials: Crayons, paper, pencil Day 3 Play-doh or clay Short e small book worksheet There will be sentence frame pages if you want to print and use. Otherwise students can write their sentences on normal paper. They will need one for each day.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed informally through conversations with the teacher and reading the sentence frames in class.
1 hour 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
