Description
Class Experience
To see a live example of cardiac tissue. To understand the various structures of the heart and how they function. To understand how blood flows through the heart. To name the chambers, valves, and vessels the blood travels through.
I have spent over 9nine years learning about the human body during undergraduate work at Texas A&M University as well as my chiropractic doctorate program at Parker University. I have taught nursing students for six years in the subject of anatomy and physiology, where dissections were part of the lab.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This is a dissection of an animal. There will be dried blood in the chambers when it is cut open. The dried blood usually looks like clumps of brown dirt.
