We'll discuss character traits from our13 real-life women in American history including perseverance, justice, friendship, grit, kindness, and more. Our classes will include student and teacher read-a-louds, trivia games, mini-history lessons, crafts, and more! We will end each book study by thinking of and putting into action some ways that we can persist together virtually and in our different communities. Students are encouraged to purchase or check out (from their local library) their own copy of each chapter biography. As the class is an ongoing subscription-based class, students are free to enroll and come and go as they need. No prior knowledge is required. We will spend two weeks on each historical figure. The first week will be based in the book, including read-a-louds, discussion, and vocabulary. The second week will include games, student-led questions, and we'll brainstorm ways that we can persist in honor of our heroine!
