US Grade 1 - 4
Younger students will learn all about sharks through interactive and creative learning methods. Students will learn about sharks, their habitat, eating habits and family life. A focus will be on conservation. Students will be delve into video, handouts, creative options and multimedia presentations that are all guided by the teacher. At the end of the first class students will learn how to draw a realistic Great White Shark. On our second day of class, students will continue to learn about lesser known sharks and then create two shark crafts. The first is a fun surprise shark drawing that is relatively easy for younger student but enjoyable for older students. The next is a craft that turns into a fun game called "Feed the Shark" similar to ring toss, but totally hand made and sharkific. At the end of class students will test their skills with an online game of Shark Jeopardy.
Learning Goals
Students will learn all about sharks, their habitat, feeding and lifestyle in a fun-filled and creative class filled with trivia and amazing facts.

I am also an animal lover who has cared for and rehabilitated animals all of my life. Currently, I have over 6 animals residing on my property, and before you accuse me of being a cat hoarder - I only have two kittens!
I am Wild Animal Health Care Certified, a Wildlife Conservationist, and also Marine and Eco Tourism Certified. I told you I love animals!
I approach teaching as a creative endeavour and I instill creativity in all of my classes. The more we can expand on being creative, the easier it is to approach different learning opportunities, career choices and even life choices.
